I'm a children's book illustrator and animation development artist with an affection for picture-making and a penchant for cute, whimsy and warm greens.
Current books in print include On My Way, written by Sophie Masson and published by Scholastic, and Bold Tales For Brave-Hearted Boys, written by Susannah McFarlane and published by Allen & Unwin. The latter has also been sold to Simon & Schuster for distribution in the US. Over the coming year, I will be working with Hardie Grant Egmont to illustrate an exciting new chapter book series.
Since 2015, I have been working with kids folk band, Teeny Tiny Stevies, designing, directing and animating their music videos. Their second album, Helpful Songs For Little People, was picked up by ABC Music, and all of the animated videos are now screened frequently on ABC Kids Television.
I'm also a co-owner of Pirate Size Productions, a small company developing and producing high quality entertainment for children, young people and families. Pirate Size works with domestic and international broadcasters and production companies as both a creative service provider, and a producer of original IP. We have twice been nominated for ATOM awards - this year in the Best Animation category for a short film we produced for Sesame Studios. The same film, Tilly & Gus - Our Friend Bloom, will also be screening at the 2019 Chicago International Children's Film Festival.
For all my publishing work, I’m represented by Margaret Connolly & Associates.
